She completed her community service at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Soweto in 2010 and then completed the post-graduate course in OMT (Orthopaedics and Manual therapy) in 2011. Whilst studying OMT, she worked at Wilgeheuwel hospital in Johannesburg, treating post-operative spinal and shoulder surgery patients as well as sports injuries. After graduating from OMT she spent 2012 working on a yacht whilst travelling throughout the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.

On returning to South Africa in 2013, she continued to treat orthopaedic and sports injuries in private practice. She obtained further qualifications in CranioSacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Kinesiology for Health and Fascial Manipulation. Robyn has also worked in the trauma and ICU units at Milpark Hospital as well as the maternity wards at Morningside Medi Clinic and Sandton Medi Clinic, in Johannesburg. Whilst working in the maternity wards she gained experience in treating breastfeeding complications and babies with Colic. She also worked in an out-patient physiotherapy practice in Johannesburg for 4 years, she then ran her own out-patient physiotherapy practice for 7 years, before her family moved to Mauritius temporarily, and then she settled in Cape Town.

Robyn is currently studying Functional Medicine through The Institute of Functional Medicine in America. Due to an increase in patients presenting with chronic and auto-immune type conditions, Robyn felt that treating symptoms wasn’t effectively fixing the problem and therefore felt a need to dig deeper into the root cause of disease and pain. This led her towards exploring Functional Medicine.

Robyn is an active sportswoman whose interests include running, padel, hiking, yoga, and pilates. She has a special interest in treating sports injuries, running injuries, spinal injuries, orthopaedic and post-operative conditions, breastfeeding moms, and colic babies.
